Swingy Swongy

So since moving to FTP, I've put in several tens of hours at the tables.  I've since made Black Card, and I've cashed out roughly 1120 dollars.  Pretty good stuff!

But I've been on an epic downswong the last two weeks that has amounted to 500+ dollars lost at the tables.  With rakeback I'm probably down around 300-350 or so, but that is still terrible.  I'm just really getting on the wrong side of variance it seems.  I am not sure if I want to try out stars again or if I'll move to regular tables at FTP.  I think I may just try 16 tabling some 5nl and see how it goes.

I think even the bare minimum at FTP for iron man will eventually net me a solid 300 a month once my iron man kicks in at year 4 (1000 medals a month = $200 + $100 in biyearly bonus/mo). I am currently in month 4 so I've got quite a ways to go, but it seems Rush poker is just too nitty and the edges are very small that there just isn't a lot of money to be made.  So I think I'm going to make the move back to Stars or do regular tables.  The good thing about playing at FTP is that I'm now pretty comfortable playing up to 25NL, and I'll probably buy in at 50 or 60bb whatever the minimum is and do that for a while until I get some solid stats on the regs.

Cashed out, starting at $300, busto to robusto

Went on a 200 dollar downswing and cashed out most of my roll ($720).  Left 300 in and the downswing continued, but I'm grinding my way back.  I am still on pace to hit black card, although I will need to move up to 25NL during december to keep pace I think.  Took most of last week off.   Got pretty tilted there for a little bit so needed a break to get my head straight.  Things are going ok since the last downswing, I am still -$35, but ev wise I am break even which is fine.  Just gotta stop making dumb mistakes.

Still Going Strong

Played about an hour and a half last night.  I'm still playing well.  Lost a big suckout AA<KK for 120bb all in pre.  Grafs for yesterday:

Grafs for month 25NL:

Fish on a heater

Fish on a heater again.

Hit 1k in my account.  To put things in perspective, I think I was down to $500 at some point this week.  I have another 90 or so in rakeback due to me also.  I think I have figured out how to finally play the pokers and things are firing on all cylinders.  I think I've finally learned how to be solid.  I am winning at 5.5BB/100 at 25NL over 19k hands.  Some of it was sheer luck, I even spewed off quite a bit, I think I could be sitting at 8BB/100 pretty easily had I not spewed.  I haven't spewed in a couple days now over a few sessions.  Really, I think the secret to the micros is finding the fold button.  Let the aggro tard idiots fight over .85 cents and you fight over 25 dollars when you have the nuts.  It seems like I am getting "plugged in" now when I load up the tables.  Everything is very lucid, I am able to even make some calls knowing what my opps ranges are and when their lines make no sense at all.  I try to keep those hero calls in small pots, there's no sense in hero calling an overbet shove for 50bb, when you can just wait for the idiot to do it when you have the nuts.  It's actually surprising how often you tell people they're beat, yet they shove over the top expecting to have fold equity with their air.

I told a guy today "ty kind sir" after he stacked off on a J high flop with AK when i hit a set of 8s.  The guy is a regular.  A very bad one, but wth.  I haven't run any big bluffs in quite a while.  I guess he must have some notes from when i was spewing.  Oh wellz, ship the quarters!

I am on pace to get Black Card over 100 days.  I'd like to get it sooner rather than later, but 500 pts/day was pretty crazy when I was playing 10NL.  Now it looks like it should be pretty easy for me to hit at 25NL.  I will probably hit it sometime in early december.  It will be cool to be earning 2x points and 3x during happy hour, not to mention they have some decent stuff in the store, and will be adding more.

I seriously can't run any fucking worse

No doubt about it, I know it sounds so stupid to think poker is rigged, but give me a fucking break.  I literally could not win a fucking hand today.  -6.5 buyins playing rock solid poker maybe 1 questionable spew spot.  seriously, wtf.  nobody wants to play when i get a hand, seriously, and then everyone floats every fucking cbet when I have air.  how is that even fucking possible????  If I was 95% on the flop, no doubt about it, they hit their 2 outer on the turn.  nut straight on the flop, of course someone hits nut flush on the the turn after potting it.  Should I just be jamming the fucking flop overbet 10x?  This is just retarded.  95% on the turn with the nuts, some guy calls an overbet and then we split the river since it brings 4 to a straight and he hits his fucking gutterball. I mean, WTF.  Just look at some of these fucking hands in one session it is fucking atrociously bad.

Of course this one was really the only one I kind of tilted off a buying but give me a fucking break, everyone fucking hits against me.

There's a ton more where we split because a fucking dumas calls with a gutterball and hits on the river when I have the nuts, but seriously... like WTF. I am actually down money when I have 2 pair or better hands. I've made a whopping 2 bucks with AA the last 2 sessions. Seriously, this is fucking stupid.
